Hi All,
I am using AEM 6.1, and upgrading my AEM instance with SP2. I have installed CFP 3 and SP2 for AEM 6.1. earlier my oak version is showing 1.2.7 but after installation of SP2 and CFP ; oak version got downgraded to 1.2.18. but blog[1] say: If your instance is running a higher version of Oak compared to the Oak version of the CFP package, the latter will not impact your current Oak version.
Could you please let us know is there any way to upgrade oak version in my AEM instance? if not does this oak going to impact any functionality in our existing instance?

Hi Rashid,
You can build oak manually and deploy Or take the latest release from apache. However I do not recommend as well as adobe release oak version very frequently. You can log an official support request and should recieve the hotfix. Which version of oak you are looking?
Thanks,

Hi MC,
Thanks for your reply, I was looking for oak 1.2.7, which I will download from Adobe site.
One more question I have; that, can we manually upgrade or downgrade oak in AEM? Since I didn't find any place where I can update or shall I go ahead and install that oak as a bundle?
Thank You!
Rashid

Hi Rashid,
Technically it is possible & I have not seen issue with downgrading oak hotfixes. Adobe does not recommends to downgrade because such usecase not QAed and solution is to restore from backup if situation demands to rollback.
Thanks,
