How to configure the respository.xml and point to external repository for storing the in ADOBE AEM 6.0

Please suggest the documentation.

Yes followed the same but the upgrade log has the below entry.

As per the process specified placed the AEM 6 jar in the install directory in the place of AEM 5.6.1 and started using the

java -jar aem-quickstart.jar -r crx2

the application works but i dont see the AEM 6 upgrade log in the "upgrade.log"

How else can i verify the System has been upgraded to AEM 6.

It has only the below in upgrade log:
