I followed the aemcasts example to build a new site from episode 1 thru 3/4. But after installing I could see all my folders in crxde lite but the application created under /apps folder is not visible under the websites in WCM.  As per the sample site at the end of episode 3(http://aemcasts.com/aem/episode-3.html), the apps site aemcast appear on the WCM to create sample page etc. I am struck and am a newbie. Trying to follow the correct steps to build a simple POC.

Appreciate your help and time.

Hi Sudharsan,

For the beginner prospective in AEM/CQ5, you need to start with "How to Website" from AEM Docs: https://docs.adobe.com/docs/en/aem/6-2/develop/the-basics/website.html

Also see this onboardAEM  resources - https://helpx.adobe.com/experience-manager/using/onboardAEM.htmlIt contains How to Website, Community articles page and AEM Ask the Community Experts Sessions

If you see and hands-on in all these, then you are ready to learn AEM.

Hope this helps!

Thanks,
Ratna Kumar.
