We are currently using content fragments which are referenced by external applications in a CAAS approach. We need to introduce localization support but language copy is available only for Projects/Sites structure which is not used in this case. We need inputs on how language copy can be introduced just for content fragments within DAM structure that are referenced externally.

Create a language copy of the content fragment: In AEM, create a language copy of the original content fragment for each language you want to support. You can do this by selecting the content fragment in the DAM, clicking on "Create" in the toolbar, and choosing the desired language.
Translate the content in the language copy: Open each language copy of the content fragment and translate the content to the respective language. You can do this by editing the properties and text fields of the content fragment.
Update the references in the external applications: Once you have translated the content fragments, you need to update the references in the external applications to point to the language-specific content fragments. This will ensure that the correct language version is displayed in each application.
Implement language selection logic in the external applications: In the external applications, you need to implement logic to determine the user's language preference and retrieve the corresponding language-specific content fragment. This can be done by passing the language code as a parameter or using other methods to identify the user's language preference.
you can introduce localization support for content fragments within the DAM structure that are referenced externally. Each language copy of the content fragment will contain the translated content.
