Java Version requirement for AEM 6.5

Hi Team,

 

I understand AEM6.5 Installation required Java 11 ,Is it Means Java 11 (11,11.0.1 to 11.0.20) &  above ok to install AEM65 or Any particular Java 11 version onwards must have .

 

Currently java/JDK 17 version ,Is ok to proceed with AEM6.5 Installation at Linux Server because same server using other java application which required java 17 version.

@varaprasadande1 I believe- Oracle Java™ 11 is supported until September 2026 at a minimum. Support for Oracle Java™ 17 is in preparation.

you could also always specify the JAVA_HOME variable to be used in the /crx-quickstart/bin/start file.

Java 17 is not supported by AEM 6.5 & It supports java8 and java11.

You can install the latest version of Orcale Java 11.0.19(jdk11-archive-downloads ) from Oracle official website or Adobe Software Distribution(software-distribution/en/general).
