Hi Guys,

Just wanted to check, is there a way to integrate accessibly in AEM OOTB? if not then is there a way to integrate the same? How these checks can be performed in AEM?

Hi @manu_mathew_

There is no such tool available OOTB which you can integrate with AEM to enable accessibility. But if you are using the core components that comes with accessibilty enabled.

Any custom component that is built will require additional coding and will require additional changed from FE, to enable the accessibility on the website.

Here is a link which talks about the accessibility on AEM:

https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/experience-manager-65/managing/accessibility/web-accessibility.html?lang=en

You can run WAVE tool (https://wave.webaim.org/) to check what is the compliance level of the website:

Thanks!

CloudManager comes with an Experience Audit test based on Lighthouse. While Lighthouse's focus is probably not necessarily on a10y, it should provide you a good starting point.

And of course the Core Components already integrate a lot of best practices.
