Is it possible to make this image smaller?

• Firstly, you could manually crop the image using AEM to your desired size. This will, of course, reduce the image size.

• You can configure the renditions generated when the asset is uploaded, ensuring you always have a rendition of the size you need.

• You can use image presets and image profiles for a similar approach.

• If you have access to Dynamic Media, you can utilize smart imaging to optimize your original image by changing its size and format.

• If you have access to Dynamic Media, also you could check Smart Crop. 

• If you are using the web core image component, you can take advantage of the "Web Optimized" option in AEMaaCS or the Adaptive Image servlet in AEM on-premise.

Choosing the best approach depends on what you have available and your specific requirements.
