Is AEM a solution?

Hi,

We have a scenario where we need to build a tool for business users internally within the company network but not exposed to the outside world, and its ideal purpose is for business folks to do a data entry/re-arrange items using drag/drop functionality and have this data stored in a DB. Is this use case apt for it to be an AEM application? Can you state the reasons as to why or why not it is ideal for AEM?

Thanks,

Manasa

@manasabojja7 what do you mean by  "data entry/re-arrange items using drag/drop functionality".

Is this for the end user persepctive or authoring?'

Usually for internal projects its not necessory but it totally depends on what you are looking for.

Seems like too less info. to deside upon but some key consideration can be:

Is there a high volume Content Handling?
Do you want to make use of Creative Cloud Integration?

Are you planning to use data analytics?

Do you want personalization?

Are you looking for multi-channel applications?

However, It would be definatly possible with AEM.

Hope this helps.

@manasabojja7 Would you please clarify what type of data the business users wants to enter and rearrange? Do you want to leverage jcr to store this data or save this information in any external DB?

You can restrict the domain of this site to be exposed to the outside world. This can be handle by IT infrastructure team.
