Image compression in DAM

Hi all,

Our requirement is to get the original renditions compressed (existing as well as the new ones when uploaded in DAM). Would like to know if there are any OOTB auto-compression of assets feature in AEM 6.5 cloud. Or do we have to go for any external plugins for this?

  1. Format Conversion: AEM DAM can also convert images to more efficient formats, such as JPEG 2000 or WebP, which offer better compression ratios than traditional JPEG or PNG formats.

  2. Compression Profiles: AEM DAM allows users to create custom compression profiles that define specific settings for image compression. This allows for greater flexibility and control over the compression process.
