How to disable admin account?

I saw in the article says that we should not delete the Admin account in AEM. But is it possible to disable the admin account???. Because the members under administrators have all the rights same as admin.So i do not want to use the admin account even if the password is leaked.SO can u please guide me how to disable the admin account?

    Hi,

    The admin account is a requirement of the AEM platform. As a consequence, admin account cannot be deleted. Even if we accidentally delete this account, it will be re-created upon repository restart (in the default setup).

    This is clearly mentioned at:

    So what you can do is, you can simply limit access to the admin account by changing the password and ensure only the administrators of the system have the new value.

    Hi,

    Not sure if that is a good practice to be followed.

    AEM This forum post mentions that this account is used for connection between WCM and CRX. Not sure if disabling, will have other repercussions.

    May be we can await responses from SME's on the same.

      Adobe strongly recommends that the password for this user account be changed from the default.
