How do I make the Datepicker show AM/PM(12hour format) when selecting time?

I am creating a countdown timer using Datepicker. The user can select a future date from today for the countdown timer. When authoring this the user is able to select the date but when entering the time it is not mentioned anywhere whether it is a 24 hour time or not. By default it is 24 hour. I want to make it to 12 hour format so that the user can select AM/PM aswell.

 

Let me know if it is possible in this scenario or I will have to use some other aproach.

I think it is not possible and yes the time format is 24 hours time.
