Global search and replace HTML code

Hello, our team has received a request to convert all Bold tags to Strong (<b> to <strong>) and all Italics to Emphasis. Is there a way to perform a global search and replace on the HTML code (as opposed to the text itself)? If we can't solve this issue we will need to re-code thousands of pages by hand. Your help/suggestions are greatly appreciated.
