Failed to start translation

We are getting below error when we submit the page for translation. We have reached out to Smartling as well they checked and confirmed the configuration and it looks fine. Can you please help us to identify this issue?

We are facing this issue after we have upgrade to latest smartling version(5.8.8/5.8.12) on stage. We are not able to reproduce on local environment.

This seems to be an issue with SmartlingTranslationService, where they are unable to map "en-us".

They might be able to provide more details

    Have already reached out Smartling and they have looked the configuration and it looks fine.

    Its working from my local machine but it was not working on our stage environment.

      It seem locale "en-us" is not supported by the Smartling translation service. Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot this issue further:

       

      1. Check Smartling Configuration:

        • Double-check your Smartling configuration in AEM and ensure that the "en-us" locale is properly configured and supported by Smartling.
        • Verify that the Smartling API credentials and settings are correctly entered in AEM.

      2. Verify Locale Mapping:

        • The error mentions the method mapToSmartlingLocaleCode() in the SmartlingTranslationService class.
        • Review the implementation of this method to ensure that the mapping from AEM's locale codes to Smartling's locale codes is correctly configured.
        • Ensure that the mapping for "en-us" is correctly defined and matches the Smartling-supported locale code for American English.

      3. Smartling Connector Version:

        • The error indicates that you have upgraded to a new Smartling version (5.8.8/5.8.12).
        • Verify that the upgraded Smartling connector version is compatible with your AEM version.
        • Check for any release notes or known issues related to the Smartling connector version you are using and the compatibility with AEM.

        Please find the below.

        1. Yes, Test connection between AEM and Smartling was successful

        2. Yes, i have verified the mapping and it looks fine. Also i have compared with my local and its looks identical. mapToSmartlingLocaleCode() method is using

        com.adobe.granite.translation.core.common.AbstractTranslationService class

        3. Latest Connector is working fine on my local machine after upgrading to 5.8.8
