Errors in logs /autodiscover/autodiscover.xml

I am getting below error multiple times in a day which causes my application monitoring to fail. Any idea what could be cause of this error

Hello,

There are couple of reasons because of that this may happen.

1. There are multiple user groups created with different ACLs and user mapped to those user groups where one or more user groups ACLs conflict with each other (what i mean - first user group says a user can have write permission whereas other says only read) so check those

2. if you have multiple components on page and those components event on editConfig set to self_refresh or parent_reference, most of the time i observed that when you edit more than 1 component on same page without refreshing the page (via web server where app servers are clustered) the page data does not sync completely with backside crx system immediately and because of that the page status become unsynced and you get commit error for next change.

So if you have above scenario matched then look into resolving those. The immediate solution is to log off and log in again and do the editing. Second use App server instead of web server (if you have) for authoring.

Hey Pankaj,

Is there any health-check(Maybe in the Dispatcher if present) configured which sends a POST request as below and triggers an error ?

We need to restrict such POST requests to reach our instance(as this might create issues as the item doesn't exist in the repository).

So you could try to restrict the same on the Webserver Level and see if this gets resolved.

Have you added custom code that could be triggering this error. There is something wrong with a commit somewhere.

Check the permissions on "/autodiscover/autodiscover.xml" as your error suggests that is the problem
