error - "Launch could not be promoted"

I created a launch of our homepage and made my edits.  When I go to Promote Launch from sidekick I get an error message "Launch could not be promoted".  Then if I refresh the page my edits get overwritten by the production page.  I do not see anything showing in my error logs or any of my logs related to this.  What could be going on and how do I resolve this?

A little extra context.  We are using AEM 5.6.1 and this did work back in December but suddenly stopped working.

I think I hit a break thru.  I went ahead and installed AEM 5.6.1 Service Pack 2, restarted my server, did a promote launch and saw a success message.  It redirected me to the production page with my changes.  I am going to continue to test to make sure it wasn't a fluke but I'm thinking the service pack 2 was the answer.

Have you checked the debug logs of promote launch command ? Add a debug logger for this package "com.adobe.cq.wcm.launches" and see if you get any useful information in the logs.

Thank you kunal23.  This is a little out of my element so I'll need a little instruction on how to add a debug logger for package "com.adobe.cq.wcm.launches".  I'm assuming it's a configuration change in http://localhost:4502/system/console/configMgr/?

Yes you need to configure it as an OSGI configuration node. Go to http://localhost:4502/system/console/configMgr and click on '+' icon on the row named "Apache Sling Logging Logger Configuration". You will see a new form wherein just provide the log file name, logger class and log level and click on save. See the attached screenshot.

Okay, so we have a bit of a user error.  I had been reading the wrong error.log.  However, when I read the correct error.log file I see a lot of stuff including lots of ERRORS.  However, I can't decipher what the root cause is.  Please see attached file.   I only copied the ERRORS that seemed relevant.

My thoughts are we have the Promote Launch configured incorrectly.  I'm attaching screenshots of our setup.

Have you installed any hot fixes or service packs on top of 5.6.1? For 5.6.1,there is a hotfix available for launches - CQ-5.6.1-HOTFIX-3471. You can download from here - https://www.adobeaemcloud.com/content/marketplace/marketplaceProxy.html?packagePath=/content/companies/public/adobe/packages/cq561/hotfix/cq-5.6.1-hotfix-3471

No I have not installed any hot fixes or service packages.  I tried to install the one you suggested but I get a message saying "There are no clouds available to install this package".  :-(

You can download the zip file from the Assets tab and install it using the package manager http://localhost:4502/crx/packmgr. See the attached screenshot.

I downloaded and install the hotfix and tried promote launch but still same errors.  So I restarted my server tried again and still same errors.  :-(   I saw adobe has a AEM 5.6.1 Service Pack 2 available (https://www.adobeaemcloud.com/content/marketplace/marketplaceProxy.html?packagePath=/content/companies/public/adobe/packages/cq561/servicepack/AEM-561-Service-Pack-2#) thinking I might try that.  Do you think that might be worth a try?
