Ecommerce products

Hello, 

AEM comes with a number of importers for different ecommerce platforms which lets you sync product / variant data into AEM repository.

Is there any guidelines or best practice in terms of the no. of products that can be imported? Would importing large sets of product data have any negative impact on AEM itself?
