Does cq:dropTarget works for child components in 6.5

Hello,

I do have a requirement, where i need to drag & drop child components inside a parent component.

I tried adding cq:dropTarget in to child component under cq:template, it is not working as expected.

Could someone please help me with the solution, appreciate your help!
