Documentation for Custom Translation Connector Implementation

I am trying to understand and hopefully create a custom translation connector to integrate AEM with our in-house translation management system but I can't locate any help documentation that talks about it in detail. I could find below sources but they don't have detailed information on implementing this connector

Apparently above points to this help article ( https://helpx.adobe.com/experience-manager/using/bootstrap.html ) which I believe would have this implementation details but this link now redirects to WKND tutorial which doesn't have any details on this custom connector implementation. If anyone have the updated link to this original help article that will be super helpful, unless this content is retired now :(.
