Detach option in Live copy page

Avatar

Level 1

We can use the detach option from the page properties, which removes the live relationship between a live copy and its source/blueprint page.

I would not like to run child pages.

What kind of method is there?

@aem_developper  You can instead try cancelling inheritance on specific components of the page if you want to keep the inheritance relationship for all other pages.

Hi @aem_developper

When you detach on the root page of a live copy it removes the live relationship between all pages of the blueprint and its livecopy. Further changes to pages in the blueprint (as was) will not impact the livecopy (as was).

Detach on a subpage (or branch) within a live copy the live relationship is removed for that subpage and the subpages in the live copy branch are treated as if they had been manually created.

Please read here:

Please Note:

  • You cannot reinstate the live relationship after you detach the live copy.
  • To remove the live relationship with the option of later reinstating it, you can cancel live copy inheritance for the page.
