Design Importer - Replication

Hi Experts,

  We are using design importer for one of our landing pages. Whenever author imports a zip file the page gets painted with contents of zip file which is as expected.

It also creates the script files under /etc/designs.

 The challenge is when author activates the page the contents of /etc/designs is not getting replicated. This means every time author wants to replicate a landing page created through design importer then he has to activate the /etc/designs separately which is not advisable.

Is my understanding correct?

If yes, Is there any workaround to activate the /etc/designs as well?

It is the bug. Please reach-out to daycare for further support.

We are using AEM 6.3 Sp2 and did not face this issue. I guess the bug is corrected in some release. However, when I deactivate the page imported through design importer the page itself is removed from publish but the clientlibs were not removed.
