Hello,

if i delete an asset in AEM 6.4.x in the classic ui siteadmin the containing folder

in the page tree disappears too(but it is not deleted).

I have to refresh the page/pagetree manually to see the folder again.

Anyone knows how to fix it?

Thank you for your help,

Thorsten

Siteadmin was designed to handle nodes of type "cq:Page" and not assets. Ideally, you should not be able to browse assets under siteadmin.

You need to use /damadmin for Asset related operations. In your case, replace /siteadmin with /damadmin in the URL.

This might be a caching issue, Do you see the same issue in private window?

Also, check if you observe any errors in the browser console

I can reproduce the problem in private mode with fresh deleted cookies and browser data

and no errors in the browser console.

I am not able to reproduce on a 6.4.6 instance. Check if you are using dispatcher and then try to bypass dispatcher to test.

Lastly, log a daycare ticket if this is still an issue.

I can reproduce it always on windows and ubuntu18 with a fresh single author instance and update 6.4.6 installed.

There is no dispatcher or anything else.

As you can see after deleting the asset the containing folder 'Biking' disappear.

I have the newest chrome and firefox versions installed, my colleagues and our customers can reproduce this behaviour also,

so it is not a browser problem.

Best regards

Something to do with your local setup as I cannot reproduce it. The biking folder always shows up in the left pane.

Hi jbrar,

you are using /damadmin, but i was talking about /siteadmin.

In /damadmin everything works fine for me too.

But our customer dont has the dam-licence that's why they have to use the /siteadmin.

Best regards
