Day CQ Mail Service

Hi,

I created an account in SMTP2GO (A free online SMTP Server) and configured with AEM (Day CQ Mail Service):

When email is invoked, I am getting the following error.

"com.adobe.aemds.guide.service.GuideException: org.apache.commons.mail.EmailException: Sending the email to the following server failed : mail.smtp2go.com:2525".

In the console/configMgr itself, when we are configuring the SMTP server, is there any way of testing it?

The way, in Cloud Services Configuration, and Replication Agents, there is a little "Test Connection" button.

Kindly suggest how to fix this issue.

Read a Forum post that by restarting the bundle Day CQ Mail Service, it might get activated.

But in the console/configMgr console, I see only Edit, Unbind and Delete options.

How to restart a bundle? Let me try my luck.

For testing purposes - you can follow this article - create a test workflow step that fires off an email.

In this article - you configure the email service and call it by using a MessgeServiceGate.

Enable debug in the felix console at http://localhost:4502/system/console/configMgr/com.day.cq.mailer.DefaultMailService
Check the stdout.log Or stderr.log it will provide exact reason for failure.
The common mistake I hear about this is either missing from field Or ssl over smtp enabled/disabled at mail service config.

Hi,

Did all these changes and PFA the settings.

Got the same error, but error.log has the following text.

Caused by: org.apache.commons.mail.EmailException: Sending the email to the following server failed : mail.smtp2go.com:2525
   at org.apache.commons.mail.Email.sendMimeMessage(Email.java:1242)
   at org.apache.commons.mail.Email.send(Email.java:1267)
   at com.day.cq.mailer.impl.DefaultMailService.send(DefaultMailService.java:289)
   ... 153 common frames omitted
Caused by: javax.mail.AuthenticationFailedException: 535 Incorrect authentication data

at com.sun.mail.smtp.SMTPTransport$Authenticator.authenticate(SMTPTransport.java:826)

The password is the same as the one I used for creating my account in SMTP2GO.

Do we have to encrypt it and use?
