DAM versions - How do I exclude a Folder from versioning?

I have several folders in dam and would like to exclude one from creating versions of the documents uploaded to it.

example:

/content/dam

    /mysite

        /folder1   (versioned)

        /folder2  (NOT versioned)

        /folder3 (versioned)

I believe you can use acl editor to disable jcr:versionManagement.   Instead I would recommend overlay asset editor page and disable version creation button for that folder.

I am not seeing a feature to let you exclude a folder from versions. However -  I will check with other internal Adobe community members.
