DAM - searching for assets is not working

Avatar

Level 1

I'm trying to search for assets as documented on:

http://dev.day.com/docs/en/cq/current/dam/managing-assets-touch-ui.html#Searching Assets

This syntax does not seem to work for me, I never get results when trying a property search like "location:somelocation" or "title:thetitle". A non-property search does give me results (eg "somelocation" or "thetitle").

Is this documentation incorrect or am I missing something?

Make sure you are using the Touch UI Search screen (not the Classic DAM Search Screen at http://localhost:4502/damadmin#/content/dam ). The URL to the Touch UI Search screen is at:

http://localhost:4502/assets.html/content/dam

From the Touch UI Search screen --  you can use that syntax and it works. I give an asset the title value ScottContent. It did pull it using title:ScottContent. See--

I am going to go through this section and see if i get the same results as you or if it brings up DAM content. I will post back my findings.
