Dam asset delete

Hi All,

I have one doubt regarding dam asset.If I have one asset (image/pdf) in production author instance and the same asset also present on production publish instance, now If I am going to delete the asset (image/pdf) from production author instance without  deactivating it, in this case the asset will remain available on production publish instance or not.
