Create new metadata for Assets and Sites after replication

Hi All,

We have created new metadata. It needs to be updated everytime content is Activated/published. We have created a custom workflow step and created custom workflow using this new step. Now i have created launcher which will trigger the new custom workflow everytime upon Replication. But unable to set up condition properly to execute only upon Activation. Instead currently the launcher is getting executed everytime any modifications happen to content. Please suggest.

Thanks for the reply. I have done it in the same way (replication listener & trigger an workflow from there). But solution has been suggested for using Launchers. Since as per your comments, it is not supported, i have forwarded the response to Architects here for further analysis and confirmation.

Hi Nitish,

You need to right a replication listener & trigger an workflow from there. AFAIK workflow launcher does not support only replication. Alternate option is for group does not give replication permissions. When an author tries to activate a page without the permissions, it automatically starts the request for activation workflow, you can edit that workflow Or call your workflow from there.

Hi Sandeep,

This is Pre-processor which i believe will gets executed just before Replication. But we need to trigger after replication, so wanted to use Launcher. But now going with above suggested approach.
