CQ5.5 integration with DTM

We are working on CQ5.5. Is it possible to use CQ5.5 with DTM?

YEs. It is. DTM is like site cat. All you need is to pass dtm variables by using a dtm js file. This js will be shared by the dtm consultant.

Even I am working on the same. Can we do it through cloud services by adding a new service as Dynamic Tag Management?

I want to understand how we can pass DTM variables. I'm assuming the DTM variables are part of the DataLayer object

Will this be done at component level? So each component populates the variables from the DataLayer that it needs to populate

Can you please share a code snippet if available that shows how to populate the DTM variables?
