Cloud Manager not deploying all the packages correctly

Avatar

Level 4

Hi All,

We are using Cloud Manager to deploy to our stage and production environment. Generally during deployment, it deploy 4 packages, (all, content, config, apps) and also updates bundle. right now, it is only deploying all package and not updating any content. Even bundle is not updated. Please find main pom.xml attached.

@annkitaaggarwal ,

Please check if you have below vault plugin configuration in "all" maven module pom.xml where you embed other maven modules like core, ui.apps. ui.config etc.,

<plugin>
  <groupId>org.apache.jackrabbit</groupId>
  <artifactId>filevault-package-maven-plugin</artifactId>
  <extensions>true</extensions>
  <configuration>
    <properties>
      <cloudManagerTarget>all</cloudManagerTarget>
    </properties>

I remember facing similar issue while deploying code packages with CM. In my case, the updated packages shows as uploaded but not in installed state. We manually installed the core, ui.apps, ui.config and other embedded packages for 1 or 2 times and that issue never happened again.

Try installing the packages manually after the CM uploads them and see if that makes any difference during further CM pipeline deployments.

Hi,

In AEMaaCS deployment all packages will embed other packages like config,apps,bundle etc. Pls check the below url for more details.

https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/experience-manager-cloud-service/content/implementing/develo...

Now when the all package is getting installed it will in turn install other packages. You can check the same in your local instance. In crxde you can navigate to the all packages folder location and check which other packages and bundles the current all package is bringing in. This should help you in debugging further if something is not getting installed.

Thanks,

@annkitaaggarwal ,

Please check if you have below vault plugin configuration in "all" maven module pom.xml where you embed other maven modules like core, ui.apps. ui.config etc.,

<plugin>
  <groupId>org.apache.jackrabbit</groupId>
  <artifactId>filevault-package-maven-plugin</artifactId>
  <extensions>true</extensions>
  <configuration>
    <properties>
      <cloudManagerTarget>all</cloudManagerTarget>
    </properties>
