Hi,

please refer to this recent Forum post:-

For Chat Tool (Very Easy)

Link:-http://help-forums.adobe.com/content/adobeforums/en/experience-manager-forum/adobe-experience-manage...

//

Option 1:-

But Livefyre can help you with this:-

// Using Livefyre apps including Chat, Maps, Galleries and Media Walls.

Option 2:-

You can very easily integrate 3rd party chat tools on AEM. Most live chat tools on the market focus on being easy to add to any web site by making integration client side, often just having to include a javascript library on the page and then placing an empty div and some inline javascript on the page. Generally you have to add the javascript library to either one of your existing client libraries or into the head of your files, and then have a component in the page that handles printing out the inline javascript and empty div.

It is as simple as adding their JavaScript to the page.

I have never heard of this use case - i will look within Adobe to see if anyone has done this.

What kind of chat are you interested in? People chatting with each others (IM style) or having chat rooms corresponding to the a specific page and which you can join to get information about ongoing changes? A coworker did a demo of the second case, but it's been a while and afaik it never made any progress beyond that demo. I also don't know which chat service he integrated with.

I know that Adobe used to have BlazeDS that had chat techology:

https://sourceforge.net/adobe/blazeds/wiki/Home/

It supported a Java API too. I am not sure if anyone used the two products together to create a chat solution.

ANyhow to integrate with these solutions - you need to build a custom AEM service that uses Java APIs exposed by the other product.
