Certification suggestion AEM Developer

I'm going to renew my developer certification but I've heard that instead of renewing is more appreciated to take the new exam ADO-E116.

 

What do you think renew or take a new one?

    @mancillaign Basically there is no difference between both the certification. You can do Renewal only if you already have a valid Developer certification. Please check this https://spark.adobe.com/page/uptvfcSbxpT4g/ 

    "You will not be able to earn a certification by just passing this exam. In order to have your certification renewed, you must already be certified as an AEM Developer." 

     

    Also the price for Renewal is 95USD ( Not sure if it is the same for US users ) . But at the same time the price for fresh Developer exam is 225USD . Please read the links for both exams properly and take a decision

      Hi @mancillaign ,

       

      Certification exam scope, objectives, and eligibility criteria are different for the new developer certification exam(AD0-E116) or renewing the existing one(AD5-E112). 

       

      I would suggest you go through the exam guide for both. Considering the timelines, preparation, etc you can make a choice. Attached the exam guide for both below.

      If you have good knowledge and enough preparation time for the new certification topics listed, good to proceed with AD0-E116
