Can AEM Screens as a CS be set up in a program that is Sandbox?

Hello!

I am in the process of setting up a Screens as a Cloud Service in our AEM as a Cloud Service instance by following the documentation https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/experience-manager-cloud-service/content/screens-as-cloud-se... and I don't seem to see the Create option that create a branch in Cloud Manager

I don’t know if this is something that’s not available if the program is sandbox (as opposed to production), because it mentions here that “Once program setup is complete, access the Overview screen of your program and see the Create Branch & Project call-to-action card at the top” and it seems to refer to Production program only?

I could be totally wrong so any help would be appreciated!

Thanks all

Hi @ibmfur,

Sandbox environment is a very restrictive environment, intended to be used just for training and demos.

It has only sites and assets available by default.

If you want to do some POCs, your next best environment, could be a Dev environment in the Production Program.

You can check with your Adobe Contact person for the same too.

Hi @ibmfur ,

Cloud manager is central to managing activities on AEM Cloud, which is why there are several groups who have corresponding permission to perform the activities.

Looks like you are lacking some permissions here, you can ask your admin to add you to the right group. You should be able to create a repository after that. User groups and permission in detail here:-

https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/experience-manager-cloud-manager/content/requirements/users-...

You should be able to see your permission when you navigate from the top left corner.

AEM Screen is available as an add-on, and you can add it through Cloud manager, once you are assigned to the correct group, you should be able to see that option. Please follow the steps mentioned here:-

If it's a new program:- https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/experience-manager-cloud-service/content/screens-as-cloud-se...

If it's an existing program:- https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/experience-manager-cloud-service/content/screens-as-cloud-se...

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Nitesh
