Which one is tried and tested for AEM?Can we use the foundation components which are built in native Javascript/Jquery and extend with Angular 2 or 4?I couldnt find proper Adobe documentation on these.Please share your views.Thanks,Parvathy

Hello experts,

I need a few pointers for selecting Javascript framework for AEM 6.1.

Angular 2 or 4 ? Which one is tried and tested for AEM?
Can we use the foundation components which are built in native Javascript/Jquery and extend with Angular 2 or 4?
I couldnt find proper Adobe documentation on these.

I have never seen Angular 4 with AEM as of now. So If you want to choose between 2 or 4, i would say go with 2.

And also +1 with Scott here, The recommended way to build AEM Components is either HTL or JSP.

The recommended way to build AEM Components is either HTL or JSP. However some community members have used Angular 2 to build components. This is only another JS framework and you would place the JS files into a clientlib and use that clientlib in your component.
