Hi all,

After our upgrade of envs from 6.4.6 to 6.4.8.1 we are missing the login/logout menu option.

Have anyone else has this issue?

We are able to login via system/console or any other normal auth process.

I suspect maybe something disappeared during removal of the software package button perhaps?

As part of a recent Servicepack the login/logout functionality has been removed from CRX/DE Lite.

Well that was a gotcha, not mentioned in the release notes. but ok, so What is the thought around login to crx/de in a publish instance?

Actually I can't help you there, this decision is not mine, and I also don't like the removal of this functionality. Please raise a ticket with Adobe support and ask for the reasons of it. I agree with you that on publish this can be problematic.

The login and logout buttons have been removed on purpose from CRXDE for security reasons (internal ID: GRANITE-27790). Back ported to AEM 6.5.5.0 as part NPR-33521.

The work around that the CSE suggested was to navigate to:
https://:/libs/granite/core/content/login.html
login and then navigate to /crx/de

After 6.5 upgrade , I also saw the log in option not available in CRX/DE .
