AEMaaCS dynamic architecture advantage

Avatar

Level 10

Hi all,

AEMaaCS has a dynamic architecture with variable number of images, which scales up or down based on actual usage.

What is the advantage of this specific feature to the customer?

Is AEMaaCS Licensing based on actual usage of cloud infrastructure?

Appreciate all your responses.

Thanks,

Rama.

The AEM cloud is built to be always available, auto-scale, reliable, always up-todate.

To achieve the same, its architecture:

  • Is scaled based on the actual traffic and actual activity.

  • Has individual instances that only run when needed.

  • Uses modular applications.

This enables autoscaling for varying usage patterns. Thus, makes it reliable during traffic .

Makes sure aem is available during deployments, by using Blue-Green deployment Model

Thanks Aanchal.

So, it does not impact licensing in any way?
I thought that licensing is dependent on the cloud infra usage, ie, more fees for more nodes.

Since anticipating cloud usage is tough, it will auto scale up or down automatically and helps to be charged exactly for the used resources,

So, this is not the case.

This auto scaling only helps to keep the system up always.

Is my understanding correct?

Thanks,

Rama,

For pricing, its best to check with the TAM for your account. They would be able to explain it at length.
