AEM Sidekick not working in Edge browser

Hi,

 

Currently we are not able to view the sidekick in Classic UI mode in AEM on prem version 6.5.21. This happens in the Microsoft Edge browser v128. However, the sidekick is displayed in Chrome v128 and we can use it for authoring.

HI @svijay2980 ,

With touch-enabled functionality reaching parity with and in fact exceeding that of the classic UI in many areas of AEM, access to the classic interface through the touch-enabled interface is now disabled by default.

    The sidekick shows up in Chrome. The issue is only with Edge browser.

      I'm not seeing any errors that are not present in Chrome. Actually Chrome shows more errors than Edge. However, I cannot find the sidekick element in Classic UI mode in Edge.

        Hi,

        The sidekick in AEM Classic UI is a crucial tool for authors, providing quick access to page actions, components, and workflows. The fact that it works in Chrome but not in Edge suggests that the issue is likely browser-specific.

        Given that both browsers are at version 128, it is essential to investigate compatibility issues or browser-specific settings that might be affecting the rendering of the sidekick.
