AEM on premise and Adobe Target

Avatar

Level 1

Hi does anyone know if it's possible to integrate Adobe AEM on premise with Adobe Target. Also, I'm assuming if it is, Adobe Target is cloud based and will have an integration with Sensei.

Any pointers to documentation will be much appreciated.

Thank you,

Matt

Hi,

Adobe Target is a fully independent Adobe product that can be integrated with any other platform. Therefore, you can definitely integrate it with an on-premise AEM. The difference is that when you integrate it with AEM, which is another Adobe product, you can gain extra benefits such as the option to export XF.

How to integrate Target will depend on your specific scenario and available tools. The preferred method is to integrate it through a Tag Management system, with Adobe Tags (formerly Adobe Launch) being the most common one used. However, you could also integrate it using GTM or another tool.

You can learn more about the options for installing Target here:

Hope this helps

100% you can integrate any AEM with Adobe Target as it will be integrated thru API call with the help of target integration API bundled with AEM.

Only thing I will suggest for AEM cloud is you need to check with replication mechanism as there are not replication agent for AEM as cloud service as it will be needed to push the publish activity to adobe target on  on-prem instance.

I had one open bug with Adobe for publish activity, it was about to be delivered in SP 21(may be) so please check that once as well

You are fine to go with it
