AEM Link Checker giving Issue for external valid links

Hi All,

We are facing an issue with AEM External Link Checker where while providing a valid external link the link checker is showing it as an error (404) whereas when the same link is open directly via a browser its working fine.

The only difference I can see is the Link Checker makes a HEAD call whereas when we access the URL via a browser it's a GET call.

So how this can be achieved by a link checker where for valid external link it will pass.

Hi @sharms13 

I don't think link checker makes HEAD call to validate external link. At least, I'm not aware of it.
Official documentation states:

• Day CQ Link Checker Task - This service performs the GET validation of external links. It allows separate definitions of intervals to check bad and good links among other options.

Not sure if there's something else going wrong or not fitting the use case.
