AEM - Campaign Standard integration: email urls point to author

Hi All,

We are working on a integration between AEM and Adobe Campaign Standard.

The content for the emails is prepared in AEM and used in Campaign.

The issue we encounter is that urls, for example image urls, in the email always point to author instance, instead of the publish instance.
We're using the oob externalizer, with a check on the runmode to return the correct author link or the publish link (in AEM we want to use the author links for -eg- images, in Campaign the publish links)

Does anyone know why the author link is always being returned, when we expect the publish link, in the Campaign emails?

NB: we are sure the externalizer osgi configuration is correct (we've doublechecked this).
