AEM 6 Developer Exam

Hi All,

I am going to take certification before December 2016. Can any one let me know which one need to take whether 9A0-384 Developer exam or 9A0-396 Lead Developer exam.

AEM 6 Developer

    Description
    A typical candidate has a minimum two years’ total CMS experience and one or more years’ experience with CQ 5.x/AEM 6.0; and a minimum two years’ experience as a Java developer.

    Passing Score
    The minimum passing score for the AEM 6 Developer certification is 63%

    Number of questions
    51 multiple-choice questions

AEM 6 Lead Developer

    Description
    A typical candidate has a minimum 2 - 3 years’ experience with any CMS; a minimum 2 years’ experience with AEM; and 5+ years’ as a Java programmer. As an AEM Lead Developer, you should have     completed at least two AEM projects and can manage a team of 2-3 ‘‘junior level’’ developers.

    Passing Score
    The minimum passing score for the AEM 6 Lead Developer certification is 73%

    Number of questions
    59 multiple-choice questions

The lead developer exam is intended for more advanced candidates than the developer exam, with the idea being that a lead developer could be in charge of a team of junior developers

Hi Ratna,

Choice of ACE certification is totally on you !

 The ACE exam generally certifies for your role ; if you are lead developer and your profile resonates to the description given in typical candidate for lead dev ace[0] then you should go for Lead Dev ACE and same goes for AEM Dev ACE as well. I don't there is any restriction for giving both ACE exams too :)
