AEM 6.5.4 Resource resolver Mapping not working

We have below requirement

 

/etc/design/* has to be shown on publisher content pages instead of /apps/settings/wcm/designs/* 

added   URL Mapping like /apps/settings/wcm/designs/</etc/designs/  on org.apache.sling.jcr.resource.internal.JcrResourceResolverFactoryImpl config.

But Not working, Can I get inputs if am missing anything here

@kirankumark9814  Have you updated the configuration in publish instance? 

If not, you can have the config file as part of your code package and install it on publish server where you are accessing the page on.
