AEM 6.5.21 - SP21 Stability and support

Hi All,

 Just want to hear from experts on the stability of AEM 6.5.21 version which got released recently. We are upgrading our On-prem version from 6.5.17 to 6.5.21. We are also incorporating language copy and live copy creation to Experience fragments to our existing structure. Any known issues or anything need to be aware of before we are live .

Thanks,

Gokul

Hi @gokulakr,

The SP you are mentioning is a very recent one and it just got released by this June. As Arun mentioned, you can refer the Adobe release notes for the Known issues. But you might encounter additional issues when you test the Service pack in detail. When we thought of upgrading to 6.5.20 a few months back, we encountered a new product bug and raised a ticket with Adobe team for the same.

So if you want to upgrade because of a specific bug fix related to Content or experience fragment, do a detailed testing on your lower environment to make sure the new feature is working as expected and no regresssion. Keep observing the SP stability for few weeks before you promote it for Production.

Hope this helps!

Hi @gokulakr
Please check the release document for known issues: https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/experience-manager-65/content/release-notes/release-notes#known-issues-aem-sites-6521

There could be additional issues, so it would be best to check with Adobe to see if anyone else has reported new concerns through an Adobe support ticket.

Hi Hemalatha,

Is there a list of issues documented with SP20 stability? If you have product bug details in SP20, kindly share.

Cheers,

Sagar

@gokulakr

We haven't noticed any issues so far. However, its always best to check the specific features that you use. Project differ by usage and implementation, thus we might come across different issues or expectations.

Release notes are the best to refer. Please look for feature updates that make sense to you and validate those
