AEM 6.3 admin password reset

Hi

 

I would like to retrieve the admin password or reset the admin password on the publish instance which is running on AEM 6.3.3.0. Can someone please let me know to reset or retrieve it?

 

I tried to use the approach mentioned here but it does not work as the groovy script is not executable on aem publish due to some error.

I don’t have personal experience to reset the admin password, as you mentioned that you have tried few things but it didn’t work.

Can you check https://github.com/shinesolutions/aem-password-reset as well, if it helps.

      Can you please let me know what is the use case here? In general, the publisher should be restricted from being accessed as an admin.

        Hi @kiran_vedantam 

         

        Admin, who has set up the server has forgotten the password to access the server. So we are trying to retrieve/reset the password.

        This password will be used to perform any type of admin activity on the server.

          Hi @asutosh_jena_,

           

          What's the error that you are getting w.r.t the Groovy script? You might want to debug the issue with the script not working.
