Hi,

I am following article on AEM 6.1 personalized experience  at .

Adobe Experience Manager Help | Creating an Adobe Experience Manager 6.1 personalized experience

I am at the step : The first task to perform is to register two AEM users named David smith and John clark. Open an example Geometrixx Media page ( any page). Click on Top right side Sign up.

I opened it on my laptop with URL: http://localhost:4505/editor.html/content/geometrixx-media/en.html

The link I am seeing is "Sign In" and not "Sign up".

After clicking Sign In link,

But the existing page is refreshing.

This article is for AEM 6.1 and I am using 6.2.

Kindly suggest, or offer me an article that works for 6.2.

Appreciate your responses.

Thanks,

Rama.

For Target option to come on the page you need to add the cloud service configuration to your website (page properties -> cloud services -> add service). This will enable the targeting option in the AEM touch UI.

If this is not done, targeting option would not come.

This logic does not work on 6.2. To use this in 6.2 - you should be using Target. I am looking for an example. kautuksahni

Hi Kautuk,

AEM needs to integrate with Target to achieve full fledged Personalization.

But AEM out of Box offers Personalization in a small scale, which uses Campaigns, Brands, Teasers and Segments, without Target.

So, are you saying that small scale Personalization, that worked till AEM 6.1 has vanished in 6.2?

Thanks,

Rama.

Hi,

Someone, kindly suggest me a working set of instructions for achieving AEM 6.2 Personalization.

I highly appreciate your support.

I see that there are Tutorial URLs for achieving AEM functionalities, but not all of them are updated for AEM 6.2.

Most of my issues are around this issue only.

Thanks,

Rama.

Hi Ratna,

Yes. I tried that URL and accessed http://localhost:4502/editor.html/content/geometrixx-outdoors/en.html

The Targeting option described in the URL does not appear for me.

PFA the screen shot.

Kindly suggest.

Thanks,

Rama.

Hi Kautuk,

Thanks for the clarification.

Now I understand why that Target option does not appear for me.

My use case does not include Target.

In our good olden days we were able to achieve some personalization within AEM itself, by creating Brands, Campaigns, Teasers and Segments, all without Adobe Target at all.

If such a facility is withdrawn in AEM 6.2, I will not even attempt it.

But is is a good idea to add this caveat to this article that this option is visible only if Adobe Target is integrated/configured.

Appreciate your support.

Thanks,

Rama.

In the upcoming article we will mention it.

And for Adobe Experience Manager Help | Creating an Adobe Experience Manager 6.1 personalized experience  it clearly stated that it is for 6.1.

smacdonald2008 If you still think to add above suggested in existing article.
