Activity Node Creation on Custom Social Community component

What are the APIs used for creating activity node in mongo db in AEM?

I have created a social component which is pushing data to mongo db by using srp APIs. How can i create related activity node on creation/update of data.

Please share the reference if there is any, that will be helpful.
