I am looking for Adobe platform specific guidelines on how to build an accessible website/make your website accessible to disabled  users, with accessible content and pages navigation that are WCAG, ADA ect. compliant as this is a legal requirement.
There are a lot of third party tools to audit and automatically remediate a website, but best practice is to build a website / create web content/pages with accessibility criteria in mind and include accessibility testing in your development process. 
Are there any useful and recent info/resources provided by Adobe?
Is this conformance report relevant in terms of how to make your ecommerce website accessible (I'm not sure if the compliance report relates to the use of the AEM platform itself or to the FE website built with AEM/Adobe Commerce) ?

Using Adobe Experience Manager, content authors and/or website owners can create web content that meets the WCAG 2.1 Level A and Level AA success criteria. WCAG are Web Accessibility Guidelines accepted globally.
So is AEM sufficient to guarantee WCAG 2.1 Level A and AA compliance if content is built and maintained with accessibility criteria in mind? 



Guarantee is a trick word to suggest. 

AEM supports and provide features to its users to design and build such a Website that helps to meet the WCAG guidelines. 

 

You might have to undergo multiple cycles of Accessibility testing to be sure that your website conforms to these guidelines.

Hi @arianname,

There are many social, economical, and legal motivations for ensuring that web content is designed to be as accessible as possible to the target audience, regardless of any disability or limitations they may have. However, each individual vendors have there own best practices, standards etc. although, as you said there plenty of marketer tools to generate report - that is completely depends on what individual firm required to follow.  

Additionally, I'm sure you went through it already, Adobe provided the guidelines to be followed which is increasingly important aspect of good web design. Kindly refer this article for more details [0].

          ¨what I am trying to understand is what these AEM/Adobe Commerce Compliance Confirmation Report are referring to, are they about the compliance of the content authored via AEM? and the website managed with adobe commerce?
