Is it possible to disable the in-app browser, and use the device's default web browser instead?

First question would be why are you looking to bring the user out of the app?

If you are looking to have links open out of the app and in a mobile browser such as Google Chrome you can prefix the URLs with the google chrome URL scheme. See this page for more information.
