What is the best way for import data(daily scheduled) to adobe campaign? FDA or (File collector and import avtivity)

I want to know the pros and cons of each process. Also please suggest me the best way.

FDA: creates external database connection and imports data.

File Collector and import activity: FTP transfer of data file to adobe campaign and imports data to adobe campaign.

FDA does not import the data. Tables in the external database are directly read from/written to by Adobe Campaign. Using FTP and File Collector is the way to go for actually importing data.
