Unicode in subject line as targetData

Hi,

We are collecting content from our blog via the External API activity and storing it in a table. Sometimes the header of the blog contains a special character like the en dash "–". But when we import it with the External API activity we get it in Unicode. For example the line below.

#pengepodden – Er dette kun starten på det grønne skiftet?

This becomes a problem when we use this header as the subject line in automated sendouts where we have this as targetData. Because then it does not transform back to the actual character, instead it is just the unicode that shows in the email client.

So is there anything we can do in Adobe about this or does it need to be fixed on the blog side?

Best regards,

Filip
