Changing the Target after A/B Testing

Avatar

Level 2

Hello folks,

I was wondering what is the way to change the target for your A/B test workflow if the test is already over?

The case is: I want to do A/B test. I don't have my final listr of recipients, I only have a list of test recipients which I want to use to structure my workflow. My final list gets available after the A/B test is over. How can I edit the workflow? Should I use an enrichment activity to the compliment (with my final recipients) after the Split?

Regards,

Pavlina

The details of how to do this (including the JavaScript logic to pick the winner) can be found in the product documentation:

Hi pavlinao80321508,

Usually in an AB Test workflow you have a Split where you segregate the target population into two random samples of say 10% each.

Finally you enable the complement of Split to move the remaining 80% population for winner delivery.

So, you will have to enable complement transition. Hope this is what you were looking for.

If my understanding is wrong, can you please explaining your question with a screenshot and example?

Hello Vipul,

unfortunatelly I do not have a screenshot. But the question is:

How do I target the final list of recipients instead of my test recipients after the A/B test has already been run with the test folks?

Hello Pavlina,

You can simply put a query activity after the AB test is complete to pick your recipients.

Then use a JS code activity to identify the winner email and then use these recipients in the delivery with content from winner email.
