what's the different between event list and post_event_ list?

In Clickstream Data Column Reference, there are two columns, event list and post_event_list. The descriptions of these two columns are same.I wonder what's the different between them.

Hi Mary,

I took the reference from one of our analytics expert twitter response. Looks like had to get the elaborate response from them.

    It's the same as event_list I believe. Not sure if that helps.

    in this recent data feed there is no event_list and it did not include a lookup for either. is it all post_x in sc15?

    You should have the option for both. post_event_list is more important, though (usually); it is the post-VISTA value.

They are almost the same.

except one is post vista value(post_event_list) and another one not.

Post_event_list is recently added as an additional optional column in clickstream data feeds.

Hi Akhil,

  I have read the document and i am still confused . What's the meaning  of "one is post vista value and another one not". i don't find any explanation in document, could you talk more details? 

  I  will very appreciate if you can illustrate.

Hi Mary,

The event_list represents items as they arrived to Adobe originally on the beacon. There are processes that can modify these items before we complete processing into your reports. VISTA is one such process, where our Engineering Services team can implement custom logic to make a change, like adding an event that wasn't present when the Adobe Analytics beacon arrived. After such pre-processing systems run, the post_event_list represents the items that will be represented in your reports. The post_ version is the one typically of interest for data feed work.
